Terms of service

These terms cover the Mapped desktop app for Mac and Windows and the account service at mapped.uz, both provided by vermino. By using Mapped you agree to them. The privacy policy explains what is stored.

The app

Mapped is a database explorer. It runs on your computer and connects to databases and servers you choose. You are responsible for having permission to access those systems, and for what you do with them.

Database passwords, SSH keys, queries, and database contents stay on your machine. Do not send them to Mapped.

Accounts

You can use the free app without an account. Signing in uses GitHub or Google. You must keep that provider account under your control. One person may not sign in as someone else, and we do not merge two Mapped accounts because they share an email address.

You can delete your account. That cancels a paid subscription, signs out your devices, and clears your name, avatar, and email addresses.

Plans

Free includes 2 connections, 7 days of history, and no writes. Pro is $3 a month and includes unlimited connections, 90 days of history, alerts, and writes when you allow them. Team adds shared connections, roles, and a seat limit, and is arranged separately. A license lasts 7 days and renews from the account service while the subscription is entitled.

Desktop downloads are not available yet.

Payment

Paid plans are billed by Stripe. Fees are charged in advance for the period you choose. If a payment fails, the paid plan continues for a short grace period and then returns to Free. Canceling keeps the paid plan until the end of the period already paid.

Acceptable use

Do not use Mapped to break into systems you are not allowed to access, to disrupt the account service, or to probe it for secrets. We may revoke a session or close an account that does this.

The software

Mapped is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or that it will fit a particular database. You keep your own backups. We are not liable for loss of data on databases you connect to, or for decisions you make from what the app shows.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use Mapped after that means you accept the update.
